What To Wear For Valentine's Day!

Can you believe that Valentine’s Day is in one week and a half? It seems that we were all planning New Years Eve outfits just yesterday! Whether you’re staying in or going out, I have outfit tips for you, just click on the links below for my personal suggestions.

Wearing red on Valentine’s Day?
To avoid red overkill, save the red for accessories (e.g., red shoes or bag) or beauty accents (e.g., red lipstick, red nail polish).

However, if you want to do an all red look, try wearing a red suit and pairing it with an elastic body suit (it holds everything in). If you want to wear or only have a red dress, keep the look simple and make this the staple. Just remember to keep accessories to a minimum and at most wear one thin bangle and consider stud earrings. Both of these looks also allow you to elongate the body since wearing a head to toe monochromatic color doesn’t chop up your body. Always keep in mind, red is an eye-catching color so when wearing it either keep it to your accessories or make it your staple; just don’t forget to tone down your neutral-colored accessories.

Out for dinner:
So you’re going out to dinner with your significant other? Great! I hope he/she picked a good, romantic restaurant. Only 1 rule: Don’t forget the champs! When it comes to the wardrobe, I definitely recommend a dress, preferably one that is black, white, or cream. After all, it’s Valentine’s Day and you want to look hot. For an edgier look, add a biker jacket. This will also help keep you warm of course, so you don’t freeze (does not apply if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere now) as you’re running from the car to the restaurant! Finish this look with black stilettos or booties.

Staying warm inside?
Going out to a fancy dinner not your thing? A relaxed and romantic night in might be just what you are looking for. I suggest having a chocolate or cheese fondue night while wearing silk pajamas.

Regardless of your plans for Valentine’s Day, an outfit sets the tone for a fun night! Let me know what you plan on wearing or feel free to ask a question about any of the tips above. I’d love to hear from you!
