Bag, Borrow, or Steal!

Hi everyone!
For today's post, I will be reviewing Bag, Borrow, or Steal (BBOS)! You may remember it from the movie Sex & The City, where Jennifer Hudson's character, Louise borrows and rocks some pretty amazing designer bags.
The concept of BBOS is borrowed luxury! Essentially you are able to rent one of the season's "it" bags that can be incredibly difficult to track down. Aside from the waitlist that often accompanies these bags they are also pretty pricey since they can run in the thousands. Therefore, BBOS offers fashionista's on a budget access to bags that may otherwise be hard to attain.
So how does it work? When you arrive to their website (click here) click on the borrow tab and there you will find a large selection of high end designers, such as Chanel, Celine, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Chloe among others. After selecting a bag or several you will see that each has an associated price for the rental. Each designer bag has a different price and they vary from $100-$500 dependent on the actual price of the bag and the wear and tear. While this cost may appear to be steep at first, remember you are able to borrow the bag for an entire month! So divide that cost by how many times you will be wearing it and the price is easily justifiable. Just think of how much money you have spent on dresses that you have only worn once to attend a friend's or family members wedding!
BBOS also lends you the opportunity to "test drive" an "it" bag since you also have the choice to "steal it" if you don't want to part ways! So you were just able to buy a bag that you may have been unable to locate initially in the store.
I also really like that let you sell your own personal designer bags and jewelry on their site! They provide two options, the first is an immediate pay out after they receive and inspect your pieces. There is also a consignment choice that lends to a higher payout than in the immediate sell selection. However, the only catch is that you have to wait until the bag or jewelry item is sold for you to receive your payout.
So the major takeaway, "it's a rental. Like Netflix for purses."
I would love to hear your feedback! What are your thought about Bag, Borrow, or Steal? Would you use it?
XOXO,
Christie
