It's officially Fall in NYC. I don't mean fall as in by the calendar date, but fall as in temperatures! It was in the 40s this morning (10 for you Celsius people). And that means it's time to pull out the sweaters. Today's post is about this beautiful sweater.

MILLY Sweater

I loved this weater when I first saw it. Not only is the detailing amazing, but the fit lends itself to be styled many ways, making it a super versatile piece for your closet - in other words, a great investment.

A Sweater for Every Day

This is a sweater that can be styled for every day use. For example, style it like I do here: with a great pair of high-waisted denim. Otherwise, go for a pair of black leather pants or dark denim. Then finish with pumps or over-the-knee boots and your go-to clutch or cross-body bag.

If you're running errands, leave the boots or pumps and opt for high top sneakers or your favorite slipper slide in addition to your go-to bag.

Another great way to style this sweater is to add a classic button down under this top. The length of the sweater lets you see the other top underneath a la Cher from Clueless.

A Sweater for Work

The beauty of this sweater is that is also works great for the workplace. It is conservative enough for work - and also baby shower, or bridal shower! Style the sweater with a pair of wide legged trousers in black or white. Yes, contrary to popular belief or myth, you can wear white in fall/winter. Just stick to fall/winter fabrics like wool or cotton and avoid linen.
