Velvet Suit with Kobi by Kobi Halperin

Hi all,

One of the biggest trends for Fall/Winter this year is velvet. You might recall we spoke about this at the beginning of the year so it’s time to see what you have in your closet or get ready to go shopping for some velvet pieces. Today’s look from the Kobi Collection at Macy’s blends velvet with yet another fall/winter trend: structured suits, so let’s take a look:

Kobi by Kobi Halperin Velvet Suit

This Kobi velvet suit is a great choice for Fall/Winter. I’m a big fan of the detailing along the piping on both the jacket and the pants as it adds a fun spin to your traditional pant suit. But what I really love about this set is how it can go from work to date (or day to night) in a second. Below, we’ll take a look at how we can style these for both occasions:

This set is part of the Kobi’s collection at Macy’s is an exclusive collaboration with designer Kobi Halperin and is available now.

Velvet Suit for Work

To style a velvet suit for work, do as I do here and pair it with a white top – this one is also from Kobi. From your bag collection, look into a larger tote that is great for the day and fits all the necessities.

Be adventurous and style the jacket itself as a top. For this, you’ll need to have some body tape and pins handy to ensure no accidents. You’ll still be featuring the velvet suit, but adding a bit of sexiness to it – this will give you a very powerful boss-lady look.

If you feel the V-neck doesn’t work, or is too much, don’t fear: pair with a great white or black bodysuit that shows a bit of skin. That way, we still have a bit of a V, but not too much. To finalize the look, opt for a metallic clutch and strappy sandals in the Fall and a pointed toe bootie in the Winter.

How will you be styling velvet this season? Are you ready for a velvet pant suit? Let me know in the comments below and, always, thank you for reading!

Xoxo
