Fall & Winter Staples
As the Fall temperatures begin to drop, we all want to start focusing on the cozy pieces we have in our wardrobe or go shopping for some. And few things are as “fall” as a cozy sweater and a pair of black faux leather leggings. So naturally, when I knew I was headed to Vermont for a mini getaway, I sought out these key pieces in my closet and identified I needed a new pair of go-to’s that were on trend.
Cozy Oversized Sweater
The first item that I selected was this comfy fringe turtleneck tunic sweater. There are a few reasons why: First, the color. It’s copper-like brown is perfect for Fall. The turtleneck design keeps me warm on the coldest of days, and even if windy, I don’t need to always have a scarf ready to go. The fringe on the sleeves is very much on trend by borrowing from the western trend which as we’ve talked about in the past, is big for Fall 2018. The sweater has an oversized feel to it, so it could have easily been worn as a sweater dress as well. If you choose to do this, or have the option to do so, I’d recommend you to size up.
Cute Faux Leather Leggings
Gone are the days of shorts so while one naturally drifts towards denim, it’s also super important to have a good pair of leggings. These leggings have a couple of interested design choices that make them great: first, they’re more of a high-rise legging, and of course are super fitted so they tuck everything in, leaving you with a great, sleek fit. On the sides, you have small pockets that while they don’t fit much, can easily have some loose change, subway card, or the like. They have become my new go-to faux leather leggings!
