Let's Go Shopping: Must-Have Festival Accessories
Hi all,
Festival season is upon as Ultra Music Festival in Miami kicks off next week and Coachella follows soon after in Los Angeles. So naturally, it's time to begin planning outfits, line ups and of course, accessories - no festival game is complete without the right accessories. So with that in mind, I've selected a few of my must-have festival accessories for the season.
Bandanas
Bandanas a great addition to your festival wardrobe. If you're going to Coachella or Burning Man, for example, they're not only a good accessory, they become a must-have to avoid eating and breathing in dust.
Statement Belts
A fun boho belt - preferably oversized and/or with detailing - is a great addition to any festival look - be it Rock, Country, or top 40.
Fedora (or other big hat)
Fedora and other large hats can be the final piece of the puzzle for a good boho outfit and will also become indispensable when the sun starts beating down on you halfway through the festival.
Sunglasses
The right sunglasses, as we've discussed before, can make or brek and outfit and this couldn't be more true than during festival season. Here, I chose these from Foster Grant for the 70s, boho feel.
Festival Jewelry
A long necklace and statement earrings are great as is the right arm party. Certain festivals (Coachella, for example) give you independant bracelets for each party you attend, so they themselves become a sort of arm party - the more you have, the cooler you look!
Festival Bags and Purses
No guide of mine would be complete without talking about bags, and durig the festival you want to make sure you are hands-free to dance the day/night away and hold whatever drinks you're holding. So I always opt for crossbody or fanny pack. Fringe is a must this season, so consider a good fringe crossbody or a fanny pack!
Phone Charger
Some festivals have charging stations, others don't. Solution? Bring your own charging station and if it can be a cute one, that's a double win!
