Hi everyone!

Today's travel in rewind series is about my recent trip to NYC!

Where to stay?
My hubs, pup, & I stayed at Hotel Hugo, a very chic hotel located in Chelsea. My first travel tip is to use a mobile app, called Hotel Tonight when booking your hotel stay. Essentially you are able to get an amazing unadvertised rate at a great hotel but the only catch is you are unable to see the rates until the week of your travel. But getting back to Hotel Hugo, it had a modern and contemporary vibe. I must say that I'm a lover of mini bars and they had a great selection of snacks and beverage choices. The bathroom floor was also a beautiful marble and lent itself to a great #Ihaveathingwithfloors shot. Service was also great!

Where to eat?
By far my favorite meal was at Catch in the meatpacking. I am a raw fish fanatic and I must say that their tuna and salmon tartare and caviar trio was incredible. My hubs and I then shared a Belgian waffle and ice cream stack for dessert and not only was it mouthwatering, it surprisingly wasn't heavy. Make sure to make a reservation well in advance if you decide to to check Catch out!

Another must try is Serafina in the meatpacking! It's perfect for weekend brunch and also has a very chic and hip vibe like Catch. Try the tuna and salmon tartare for appetizer and you must have one of their pizzas for lunch. You honestly can't go wrong with whatever option you choose. Make sure to also make a reservation so you don't have to wait too long because they're always packed.

Fig & Olive is another must try and is also in the meatpacking! The vibe is also a very hip/chic NYC crowd. I'm a sucker for Veuve Clicquot and I just love how they feature a wall of these bottles behind their bar. Have the paella, it is absolutely amazing.

La Esquina is another restaurant I highly recommend if you want to have Mexican. Have the queso fundido (melted cheese), classic guac and chips, and the corn on the cob! You won't regret it, I promise.

My last recommendation is for Gemma. Check them out for weekend brunch. Have the rigatoni in a creamy sauce with prosciutto cotto and peas or the polenta and eggs.

As always, thank you for reading!

XOXO,

Christie
