Visiting Bloomingdale's on 59th & Lex

Hi all,

We're approaching February already - can someone tell me where January went? Woah, right? Anyway, as you know I've been in the process of re-decorating my old Miami apartment and naturally, that meant the NY apartment also needed some love. So with that in mind, I set off to Bloomingdale's on 59th here in NYC, where I knew they had recently remodeled their 6th and 7th Home Floors, to check it out!

Bloomingdale's NYC

Located on 59th and Lex here in NYC, it's a short subway ride away for me, (4, 5, 6, R, W are right outside). The newly remodeled 6th Floor contained everything bedding and towel related, with great model sections and samples to get you a feel of what your room could look like. The 7th floor on the other hand, contained kitchen, silverware, candles and even luggage. The floor plan overall, allowed for small vendor shop sections dedicated to some of my favorite brands. Easily navigated and with great lighting, the floor made finding what we were looking for a breeze.

Back in Miami, I have some Christofle silverware, so I was drawn to it immediately. In fact, something really neat about the new layout is that the vendor shops are well positioned with complementary items for the setting, and a model to show. So for example, near the Christofle section, the team had set a table for demonstration with items from Christofle of course, but also Dogal and Kendra Scott home items, such as this gorgeous frame as well. Nearby, the team had servewear and flatware from brands such as Vietri (love these blue ones) and glassware from Waterford.

My nose next led me to candle section. Yes, my nose - it just smelled soooo good! The taper candles are displayed beautifully, and then between candles, oils and incense, the entire section made you want to take everything home with you. And so I did take some candles home as well :) .

If you live in NYC, or are in town visiting, I recommend you check out Bloomingdales and in particular, their newly remodeled 6th and 7th Home Floors. You'll be taking something home with you, no doubt!

Thank you for reading!

xoxo,

Christie
