Pastels For Fall

Hi all!

I hope that as you read this, you're in the midst of a good day. Today, I wanted to discuss how to wear pastels for Fall. I know.. I know what you're thinking: pastels belong in Spring, Christie! Fall is all about orange, reds, browns and greens for fall.

Not quite! Let's take a look:

First, you might recall that on the Fall 2015 runways, we saw lots of powdery pastels. I'm talking Dolce Gabbanna, Prada and Christian Dior, for example. While we all love those designers, not all of us can just buy those items every day!

That's why today I bring you a great piece you can incorporate into your closet without any doubts as it doesn't include the high-end designer price tag. That piece being this beautiful suede coat from... Forever 21!

Thinking of wearing pastels during Fall? Keep the following in mind: Wear the pastel pieces with thicker textures such as suede, cashmere and wool. Then pair with your favorite dark neutrals like gray or black.

For this Fall OOTD, I paired the pastel coat with blue high-waisted jeans, a black turtleneck and gray OTK boots. To finish the outfit, I added a beanie - which is a great buy by the way if you don't have one - as it was chilly!
