Spring pastels OOTD
Hi all,
There are certain professions hobbies and sports that can call it a day when it rains. But not blogging! Today's outfit is all about Spring pastels, and it was shot on a rainy day. Today's casual outfit was perfect for running errands or having brunch with your girlfriends.
The outfit was styled around two statement pieces, my pastel pink shirt from Andreeva, available at The Odivo and my new handbag from Henri Bendel. I was immediately drawn to this look because of the floral detailing on the shirt and the color of the bag. These two colors (rose quartz and serenity) are also among Pantone's spring's top 10 colors you want to wear!
I typically only choose one statement piece per look - you never want to look too loud - but took the risk because I love how pastels look paired together. When styling around statement pieces you want to make sure that you keep the rest of the look simple so I chose to offset the look with a great black oversized leather jacket from La Moda 101, black leggings, and monochrome booties from Charles & Keith (make sure to also check out my feature on their site).
Let's talk a bit about the bag: I confess: this is a cosmetic case but it was love at first sight when I saw it. Aside from how cute it is, it is at the end of the day a cosmetic bag and therefore it comes with tons of compartments to organize your essentials. This is one of my favorite bags right now and look for it to return throughout Spring!
Regarding the shirt, there are alternatives for how to style a shirt like this. Go for nice denim - tucked in or loose - or a neutral-color midi length skirt or great pair of pants for work. I've showcased The Odivo before and I keep going back to them thanks to the detail and stitching on the pieces they curate for their store.
Regarding the sunnies, I selected a Matthew Williamson pair available at @Shopditto. If you havn't heard about them yet, Shop Ditto is like netflix but for sunglasses. Use code "christieferrari" for your first month free.
