Colorblocking in Mara Hoffman
Hi all!
Today's post is all about this beautiful Mara Hoffman dress that I wore while strolling around Gustavia, in St Barths. I partnered with Lilac and Lilies to showcase some of my favorite Mara Hoffman looks from their store and this one was a must have. You might recall the Mara hoffman bikini from this blog post as well.
Before jumping into the dress, I wanted to touch on color blocking - that is combining blocks of color that contrast yet complement each other. This dress is a perfect example of it, because it's not just a colorful dress, but instead a dress that features perfectly selected and carefully angled color blocks so it takes the guess work out of it. It's part of the dress! This perfect summer dress is cheerful and very comfortable too thanks to the great cut outs on the sides. Unlike most dresses, these are placed slightly elevated so it hides all the extra padding from your tummy from all of the delicious food you've eaten :) .
Whenever you wear a colorful statement piece like this one, remember to pair it with neutrals so you can let it shine as it should. For this outfit, I chose to pair it with the classic - and neutral - Gigi sandals from Sam Edelman, which are super comfortable and definitely recommended for the summer months.
The store Lilac and Lillies was kind enough to feature me on their blogger spotlight as well and I answered some questions for them. If you want to read up and get to know me a bit better, check it out!
As always, thank you for reading!
XOXO
