Hot Bag Review: Gucci Marmont Bag

If you know me by now, I love handbags and actually consider them an amazing investment because the right handbag will last for a long, long time. Not too long ago, we discussed a different handbag that I was obsessing over and we're back with a new Hot Bag Alert and this time, it's nothing other than Gucci. This could be a perfect gift for yourself, your significant other or for you to strongly suggest to your significant other.

Note that the above bag is slightly smaller than the one pictured as this one is sold out as of this writing.

Gucci is having a major moment right now, not only with handbags but with the embossed tees, the GG belts and more. It's easy to walk down the streets of NYC and spot someone rocking Gucci. I personally think Gucci is responsible for the logo trend come back we're experiencing right now.

Today we're talking about the Marmont Collection from Gucci in this edition of Hot Bag Alert. The collection carries a variety of styles ranging from shoulder bags to crossbody bags to totes. Each bag features the iconic GG logo.

The Marmont collection has a very relaxed feel to it, which makes it perfect for an everyday bag that easily and effortlessly goes from day to night in a blink of an eye. The quilted leather used makes the bag more durable too.

Colors available include white, red, black, pink and nude and prices vary from $980 to $2450. Yes, I know this is not pocket change. But it's a great investment because a Gucci bag will never, ever, go out of style and you can use it forever and eventually give it to a daughter or friend.

I personally went for the loud, but cute pink bag that you see in the images. What initially drew me to this bag - and the entire Marmont Collection - was its masculine boxy shape, but hot, pink (super feminine) color. I felt it was perfect for me as I always strive to go for the edgy, yet feminine look. This particular iteration can be worn on the shoulder or across the body as well.

The leather is incredibly smooth so you likely want to take care of it to not get scratched and store in a good place. In terms of specs, it's the perfect size for an evening event or fun daytime function like a brunch or shower at 5.5''Hx7.5''Wx2''D.

While on the smaller side for a day bag, you can definitely make it work and only bring what's absolutely needed. I can confirm it fits a credit card holder, some make up (lipstick, concealer compact, brush and eyeliner) plus a large cell phone.
