Today we are talking about a basic that is a must-have for any wardrobe, particularly during Fall: The denim jacket. but we're also incorporating some alternative takes on the denim jacket in the form of dusters and robes. In fact, not too long ago, you saw me wearing a denim robe during Milan Fashion Week. But the denim jacket (and by extension the robe, duster and dress) are perfect for any season, including winter (if you live in the south). They're so versatile and have proven to be classics, as they're timeless so any jacket, robe or duster you get is a good investment. Let's take a quick look at quick styling tips and then let's go shopping!

How to Style a Denim Jacket

There are of course almost limitless ways of styling a denim jacket. Let me provide you with some quick and effortless ideas for different occasions:

Date night: Say you want to wear a fun dress for a special date night but it might be a bit chilly. Simple trick: drape the jacket over your shoulders. It'll be the perfect mix of stylish and edgy. Finish the outfit off with ankle booties or thigh high boots.

Running errands: Casual is where the denim jacket really shines. Pair your new denim jacket with a casual neutral colored maxi dress and finish with a pair of black converse.

Brunch: So you're heading to weekend brunch and want to wear your new denim jacket? Try pairing with denim, a great knit, and finish the look with a great heel.
