Let's Go Shopping: Holiday Dresses
Hi all,
As I write this, December is in full swing and that means lots of holiday parties! When choosing a holiday dress, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, be on the look out for fun and luxe fabrics such as velvet, lace, silk, and sequins. Then, when it comes to colors, black is always chic but it is the holidays after all so feel free to have fun with colors like red, green, blue, and metallics. For work events, make sure to steer clear of dresses with cut outs and showing cleavage. If wearing a shorter hemline at a work event, make sure to add stockings or thigh high boots to avoid showing the legs. Lastly, if you’re going to wear a spaghetti strap dress to a work event, add a turtleneck underneath to keep the look classy!
So, in case you're in the market for a new holiday dress, I've rounded up of some of my favorite holiday dresses no matter your budget! Happy shopping!
In case you're wondering, the dress I'm wearing in the image above is unfortunately sold out, but it's a Lanvin piece that I got from The Outnet. Here are some similar ones as well here, here and here.
Do let me know what you plan to wear for your upcoming holiday parties and, of course, as always, thank you for reading!
xoxo,
Christie
