Athleisure with DSW
Hi all,
Today we’re going to be talking about different ways of styling sneakers. In partnership with DSW, I got to sport sneakers out quite a bit recently and I’ll be detailing below different occasions where I wore them and how you can do the same very easily! So if you’re a lover of sneakers – or even if you’re not, because we all wear them – read on!
Casual Look for Sneakers
We begin with these white Converse. Who doesn’t have a pair of converse in their closet? New or old, converse have always been and will continue to be a staple pair of sneakers. This time, I chose a simple off-the-shoulder top paired with distressed jeans, and went for comfort. This casual look is perfect for errands or when you’re traveling or touristing around. For the accessories, you can keep it casual with a bigger bag, or luxe up and elevate the look with your go-to purse.
Elevating a Look with Sneakers
Speaking of an elevated look, we now look at these high-top Rebook sneakers. For this look, I chose to elevate the outfit and to do that, you really want to pair the shoes with a very feminine fabric or luxe fabric. For example, the silk dress that I’m wearing here. The key is to ensure the hem of the dress hits above the shoes, or otherwise have a slit going down, so it can still show off your shoes. Add some edge and cool – and warmth – with a black leather jacket and you’re set to go to brunch, errands or even a fashion show!
Styling a Matching Pant & Crop Top Set
Heading to the gym? Channel your inner Gigi Hadid or Kendal Jenner with a matching pant and crop top set and show your tummy. But you can also wear this out to a casual lunch or brunch – that’s right! Add a cute bomber jacket and fun backpack and you’re set to go to lunch with your girlfriends and these cute Gunmetal Lorna Sneakers!
An Athleisure Look with Adidas
I love my Adidas shoes as I find them to be a perfect pair to sport the athleisure trend. I wore this look to run some errands and meet a friend for lunch, so it’s all about warmth and comfort and you can recreate this easily: Grab your favorite leather or faux leather leggings and add a comfy, chunky neutral-colored sweater. Add a pop of color with a fun purse, like the red one here and you’re comfortable, warm, and stylish all at once!
Elevating an Athleisure Look
The last look of the week featured a business meeting – a not too dressy one, but a meeting none the less. Thus, I wanted to dress it up a bit and I did so by adding this black turtleneck and white blazer which are more conservative in nature. The bag also helps luxe up the look as well. But the fun track pant and VANS sneakers balance the outfit and keep it on the athleisure trend.
