In the newest edition of the Hot Bag Alert, we’re talking all about the Chloe Drew Bjiou Leather Clutch, from Net-a-Porter. You might recall, we recently talked about the similar Drew Bag Quilted Leather shoulder bag. Today’s bag is an update to the brand’s well-known Drew Bag, and this one is a very elegant clutch. So is this a good buy? Let’s dig in!
Chloe Bijou Leather Clutch
I’m a big fan of investment bags, but only when they’re truly worth it. I mentioned in my previous Chloe Drew Bag Review, that the Drew Bag is quickly becoming a classic for Chloe and one that’ll be on trend, and in style today, in 2019, 2020 and for years to come. This updated look for the Drew Bag brings a clutch design that features interlocking golden chains to use as highlight over the bag and are similar to the handle of the should bag.
The bag comes in two colors - a gorgeous ivory and black. Two classic colors to choose from that’ll go a long way for any and all events - both casual and dressy.
I’ve always believed that to find the right investment bag, we need to make sure it can be both dressed up, and down and this bag delivers as it’ll look great with a dress or gown like you see me here (shop the dress from St. John here), but equally as well with skinny jeans, gold stilettos and a white button-down shirt tucked in making for a great brunch look.
Specifications
The Chloe Bijou Leather Clutch features an accordion-like design making it roomier than it appears. I’ve found that you can easily fit the essentials: concealer, eyeliner, lip gloss, phone and small wallet or just have loose bills and your ID. The accordion design lets you organize by pouch, if need be as there are three different compartments. One of them, has a smaller opening for loose change, credit card and the like.
It regards to measurements, the overall bag comes in at 7.87’’ in length by 5.11’’ in height making it a great size for a clutch - not too big, not too small. But the bag also comes with a strap letting you also wear it as a cross body.
Verdict
The Chloe Drew Bijou Leather Clutch is a gorgeous clutch that is classy, but can be dressed down. It comes in two versatile colors that can go with anything and the size is perfect for all the essentials. And more importantly, it’s a classic - it’ll be great this week, next week, and for many years to come making it a great investment bag. Priced at $1,150, it’s definitely in the investment bag category and should be a great buy assuming you have a more every-day investment bag already in your wardrobe.
