Hot Bag Alert: TDE's Mini Cylinder Bag

Excited to share with you a new edition of the Hot Bag Alert, and today, for the first time - I think - we're re-visiting a brand and looking at a different style and that is The Daily Edited's Mini Cylinder bag. So is it a good buy? Should you get it? Let's talk all about this fun Mini Cylinder bag from TDE!
Mini Cylinder Bag
I've had this one for a few weeks now and have had the opportunity to wear it out a bit, including last week's Miami Swim Week festivities. Many asked where the bag was from so I thought it would fun to feature as this week's HBA. No, this likely will not be your everyday bag, or be able to fit diapers, wipes, medicine, and the like. That's not what the bag is for, but it's a super fun bag that fits all the essentials and is quite unique in its shape and look.
Cylinder Bag Specifications
The official dimensions of the Cylinder bag list it at 6.5''H x 4.5''D, which translates to a good amount of space for phone ( I have an iphone 7 Plus), make up, keys, sunglasses and wallet. It doesn't look that big, but the diameter is actually roomier than you'd think. The bag features an adjustable shoulder strap that measures up to 44.5'' so you can make it as long or short as you see fit. It also features a handle so you can wear it as a handle bar. Unfortunately, the shoulder strap doesn't fully detach. I sort of wish they would have made the straps detachable, though.
As far as colors are concerned, the bag comes in Primrose (pictured) and black. You might be familiar with the brand, but in case you're not, TDE also allows you to personalize your bag with your initials, favorite emoticons and the like. The accents and fonts are mostly in gold finishing, which adds a nice bit of lux as well.
Styling the Mini Cylinder Bag
It's a smaller bag - though as I mentioned very roomy. It'll feel mostly at home at events that range from semi-casual to dressed up, yet not quite black tie or a gala. It's great for girl brunches and vacation, where you can style it for several outings. It'll also work great at day and night time events.
Here, I'm wearing it with a cute dress and heels but it'll also look great with denim or pants as well.
Another fun idea, and obviously this would require some additional budget, would be to gift this bag whether it is for a BFF, your mom or even to your bridesmaids or maid of honor and create a lasting, tangible item to commemorate the occasion.
Verdict
TDE's Mini Cylinder bag is a fun bag to add to a wardrobe that already has the essential bags: everyday bag and nighttime clutch. It's great for "special" occasions, and by that I mean vacation, brunches, events, etc but it likely won't come with you to work every day. I wish TDE had made the straps detachable to add a different dimension to the bag and different ways of wearing it, but priced at $135, and with the possibility of personalizing it as you see fit, it's a great, affordable bag not only for yourself but also for a friend, mom or even maid of honor/bridesmaids as well.
