Summer Must-Have: Linen Shorts

There are some absolute must-haves for Summer. For example, fun hats, maxi dresses, good cover ups and a go-to swimmy. But another Summer must-have is the linen short, one of my favorite pieces to wear during hot Summer days. Today, we're talking linen shorts, and the details to this fun outfit I wore in St Barths.

Linen Shorts

I personally love how light linen is as a fabric, in general, and it's perfect for Summer so you don’t sweat. It really is the quintessential summer fabric. This particular pair offers belt loops so you can further accentuate your waist with the white belt that comes with the pair of shorts. You can also ditch the one that comes with the shorts and add your own as well. These have a paper-bag design on the top as the fabric bunches up like a paper bag – it’s a fun and unique take on a pair of shorts.

These linen shorts in particular are great too because they’re dressier in nature, making them a bit more versatile and more appropriate for dressier casual affairs – such as brunch at a nice lunch spot, strolling town while on vacation, or at a baby shower or similar event.

Styling Linen Shorts

For this walking-around-the-vacation-town look, I first picked the shorts and then paired them with a fun off-the-shoulder polka-dot top. It has fun puffy sleeves and is a great addition to any summer outfit whether with these pair of shorts, maxi skirt, linen trouser, or high-waisted denim.
