Smart Caviar: An Apple Watch band to invest in

Today we’re talking investment pieces! While I’m mostly going to link that with jewelry in this post, it might also apply to you for other accessories like bags, shoes, coats, etc. I partnered with Lagos for the launch of their Smart Caviar wrist band, the first luxury fine-jewelry bracelet available for your Apple Watch and we’re going to talk what owning an investment piece watch and band says about you and what you should consider before buying.
An investment piece worth your time
There are many reasons one seeks not only a watch, but an investment jewelry piece. Owning an investment watch, or one with a classic and timeless band like the Smart Caviar band from Lagos, can help us come off as punctual, organized and hard-working. An investment piece can also reveal an elevated social status - after all it creates a presence - an aura as we wear it.
what to look out for when shopping for investment pieces
There are two mainly items I usually search for when I’m considering investment pieces. But before jumping into those, we need to remember that an investment piece is different for every person. While the actual cost of the time will vary - some find a $200 purchase an investment, others $1,000, and others $10,000 - the actual item will also vary as well. Some people will put more emphasis into a car, for example and will gladly invest in it, while others see it as a tool to be taken from point A to B. Some people love spending on jewelry, bags and shoes, while others don’t. And the important thing is : THAT’S FINE!
Durability
One of the central questions we need to ask ourselves is: how long is this piece going to last us? If you’re investing in something, we want to make sure it’s going to last a long time. In particular with jewelry, where something can eventually become an heirloom. The Smart Caviar bracelet is durable, handcrafted of Stainless Steel and now available in a ceramic band as well.
Versatility
The second central question is: is this timeless and versatile enough that is able to be worn many times? This is one I usually don’t recommend investing heavily on trendy pieces, for example. But for jewelry, what we want is something we can wear every day. I find the Smart Caviar band for my Apple Watch is elegant and timeless, so it can be worn from a work meeting, to date night, to a gala even. That means the cost-per-wear comes down and you see the investment as a good one.
