What to Wear in Spring When It's Cold Out
Hi all,
Though it may be March at the time of the writing of this piece, it still very much feels like winter in NYC today. But in spite of the snowy weather and cold temperatures, I thought it’d be a great opportunity to share some outfit inspiration that is perfect for a cold day during late winter and the early spring months.
The Puffer Jacket
This pink Ganni puffer jacket is so incredibly cozy and the pastel pink is perfect as we transition into the spring months. This piece will feel like it’s giving you a sartorial hug when worn and it’ll help the winter months feel more bearable, while also being stylish. Find a similar jacket here, as well.
The Mint Green Sweater
Tibi might be one of my favorite brands at the moment. The pieces are worth the investment because they won’t go out of style and will be part of your wardrobe for years to come. And though green may not be the pantone color for 2019, it’s proving to be a favorite among the street style set and this sweater is an example of why. While pairing pink and green may be unexpected to some, the combination is fresh and complementary.
Denim Jeans
Whether opting for a cuffed pair like the one I’m wearing or a pair of straight leg jeans, wearing the puffer and sweater with the jeans will come together to make a very fun and cool weekend look that is perfect for running errands, heading to brunch, or a relaxed date night. You’ve seen these jeans several times before and they’ve become a go-to for me as of late, if you haven’t noticed!
The Accessories
I’m a big fan of white boots because they go with absolutely everything. And I’m an even bigger fan for pairs that are pointed toe because they help create an illusion of a longer figure, hey, I’m only 5’1. If you’re running errands and prefer a shoe that is more comfortable, swap these out for a pair of flats or flat boots. For bag, I grabbed a fun white croc-effect bag. Croc-effect bags are very much on trend so adding this bag will the perfect last touch.
So what are your thoughts on this look? Let me know in the comments below!
As always, thank you for reading!
