Black Look With Pops of Color

Hi all,

Excited to share with you a new post and a new outfit that I recently wore and shared also on the weekly vlog - in fact, if you saw last week’s vlog, you’ve seen this outfit! Now’s the time to get the details.

Black Outfit with Pops of Color Through Accessories

The core of this look are these two pieces from L‘Agence - the black slip dress and the black leather blazer (find more affordable versions below). Now, I’ll be the first to tell you that these are a big of investment pieces. However, and it’s a big “however”: They’re so versatile that they’ll be worth the splurge.

Black Leather Blazer

Starting with the black leather blazer - something I actually didn’t have in my wardrobe till just now and I’m loving it. Especially during the colder winter months. This is a great option for those that might not want to sport a leather jacket - or see it too edgy. This one is a bit preppier and chic, but still adding the right amount of edge. You can also pair this with jeans and a tee, a skirt, or a dress like I do here. Similar more affordable version available here.

Black Slip Dress

Few items in a wardrobe will be more versatile than a black slip dress. It’s a great layering piece that you can have a lot of fun with. You can try it with a sweater, a turtleneck or a blazer like we do here. you can adjust it too to show more cleavage or less depending on where you’re headed.

Accessories

Now obviously, I opted for an all-black look, but if you know me, I like my color. So for this outfit, I chose to add pops of color via accessories. The first and main accessory is this fun pink headband. If you’re liking the headband or hair accessories in general, I don’t blame you. In fact, they’re a huge Spring trend and I did a video on this recently. Then, I went with white knee-high boots (similar, more affordable here), which have been on major repeat, and an acrylic bag that I’ve worn with everything and anything as of late. The last item to talk about are these sunnies, which are part of the collaboration between Sunglass Hut and Alexa Chung. They have a super cool 70s vibe and I’m loving them as of late!

Which is your favorite piece from today’s look? Let me know in the comments below!

xo,

Christie
