12 Pregnancy-Friendly Tops + 3 Tips For Shopping & Styling!

Excited to bring you a brand new post today and we’re talking pregnancy-friendly tops! Plus, I wanted to share 3 tips for shopping and styling during pregnancy that I’ve learned. If you’re not expecting, or trying, then this post might just provide you with some cute, loose tops for Summer, too! So let’s jump right in!
Styling during Pregnancy
Dressing during pregnancy and styling for an expanding waist line can be challenging. Not only are your clothes no longer fitting, but there’s a mental aspect you need to prepare to seeing you expand in front of a mirror. Everything looks huge. You look huge. Nothing looks right, etc. So this means that proper styling and finding the right pieces is important. And best of all? You don’t necessarily want/need to invest in clothes you won’t wear a lot during pregnancy or after.
So with that in mind, today’s post hopefully serves two purposes: First, we’ll look at three key tips I always keep in mind for styling and shopping during pregnancy, and then we’ll go shopping for some of my favorite tops!
3 Styling Tips during Pregnancy
Try non-maternity clothes and size up.
Until the 3rd trimester and even then, you don’t necessarily need maternity-only clothing. Try non-maternity loose clothing, and if needed, size up.
When choosing maternity clothing, stay with your pre-maternity size.
Only invest in pieces that you know you’re going to wear over and over again, or pieces that are for an important occasion - think baby shower.
For example, I invested in 1 pair of maternity jeans that I wear over, and over and over again. Knowing full well I might not wear them as much after little one arrives.
