Boost Your Mental Health This Summer!

Excited to share with you a new Dr. C Post - it’s been while since the last one, right? Today, we’re finding ways to boost YOUR Mental Health! Here are 4 #DrCsTips activities that’ll help you do just that!

How to Boost Your Mental Health

Tip 1: Focus on your SLEEP. While it may be tempting to go to sleep later because of the time change, try to commit to a bedtime & evening routine. Your mind & body will thank you the next day.

Tip 2: Focus on your SOCIAL Calendar 📅 . The last two years we have had to socially distance, so it’s now time to get back out there and reconnect with friends or try making new ones. You’ll notice spending time with friends is the best stress relief there is.

Tip 3: Try a New HOBBY.

Having a hobby and trying new activities is another great stress reliever and mood booster. Whether it’s learning to paint, taking up gardening, joining a book club, new workout class, or a mommy and me class - try something new this Spring. P.S. The goal should just be to disconnect, as opposed to becoming perfect at it.

Tip 4: Try a HOME refresh.

Try rearranging your furniture, painting a new room, or even getting new furniture to help you get out of a rut. Added bonus it helps with cognitive flexibility & someone who is cognitively flexible will be able to learn more quickly, solve problems more creatively, and adapt and respond to new situations more effectively.
