The Psychology behind The Quiet Luxury trend.
Hi everyone!

Don’t forget to check out other videos and posts on the psychology behind fashion and you can also schedule a 1:1 Dress For The Mood You Want session with me to go over your wardrobe and how to dress for the life and mood you want.
What is the Quiet Luxury Trend
The quiet luxury trend is an aesthetic that doesn’t say "look at me.” It’s the complete opposite of ostentatious, and rejects showing off. It’s more of a if-you-know-you-know stealth wealth type of aesthetic that’s muted and minimalist. Brands like St. John, The Row, Khaite, Brunello Cuccinelli, and Loro Piano are part of this aesthetic. These brands make high-quality, well-tailored, classic, inconspicuous and discreet pieces that bare no logo that will never go out of style and are seamlessly integrated into your day.
The Analysis:
You can say that this trend is quite reflective of the current financial climate. With inflation on the rise and a potential looming recession, it makes sense that think that flaunting wealth could be considered passé. This aesthetic is comprised of pieces in toned-down neutrals which can be calming, so by wearing them a neutral mood can be achieved - perfect to offset the uncertainty of our current economy. Elevated basics like a white-button down shirt and formal clothing such as tailored trousers make up this aesthetic and are great pieces to wear when you want to perform your best intellectually - an element that may be necessary to survive the current times from a professional perspective and help remind you to be financially responsible.
