How to Set Up a Toddler's Fire Truck Themed Birthday
Hi everyone!
This weekend marked an huge milestone in our family: Oliver turned 3! So of course, we had to celebrate with one of his favorite things in the world: fire trucks! As such I set out to create a party that surrounded him with fire trucks and things fire fighters do. Needless to say, he was over the moon and the pics will show it here below. So if you’re thinking of doing a fire truck-themed birthday or event, take a look at some of my recommendations below!
What to get for a fire truck themed birthday
I’ll begin with the tablescape: I’ve used the tables below many, many times, so instead of renting, I’ve opted to actually purchase these and they’ve come in handy many, many times, for both adults and children events.
For this event, I wanted to give children the ability to play while sitting down. And I did this with three things: First, we set out around the table some firefighter sticker sheets, which you can find below. Then we set up a “race your firetruck” with road-like tape and small fire trucks. Lastly, because we got brown paper to cover the table, they can color if you want to provide that as well.
We set up fire trucks for both the toddlers (2-3 years old) and the infants as in my circle, I knew we’d have plenty fo both. So we have the cardboard fire truck and the inflatable. If you go for the inflatable, do get additional balls as the one that it came ith were simplynot enough.
The backdrop of a fire station was a neat place for pictures, so check out this one from Amazon - really nice quality, but you’ll likely need to steam it before.
Let the kids be fire fighters with their own water fire extinguishers! Just watch out for the occassional water to the face!
We also set up fire extinguishers with bubbles and an “adopt a puppy” station with stuffed little dalmatians as a take-home gift.
For kids of all ages, I added a bounce house, and this I’ve done at every party because no matter if the kids are 2, 3, 4 or 7, they’ll always enjoy a bounce house!
Our outfits are linked here as well!
