Hi everyone!

Today's Trip in Rewind Series is all about Mykonos! The island truly is as beautiful as everyone says and the pictures do not even come close to capturing it's natural beauty.

Where to stay in Mykonos?

Cavo Tagoo

We chose to stay at the beautiful Cavo Tagoo Hotel because of the ocean views and it's proximity to the city. They offer free transportation to the city in a luxury van and is less than a 2 minute ride, whereas other hotels on the island can be a 15-30 minute ride. The customer service was impeccable and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had an amazing time. Each morning we had breakfast at the hotel that was included in our hotel rate and was incredibly delicious and gourmet. It is available at their restaurant and is presented as a buffet and you are afforded a stunning view of the ocean and their pool. However, you can also call room service and select to have it brought to your room for a small fee. Regarding the rooms, they have standard hotel rooms with an option to upgrade and have a private pool, as well as freestanding villas. We stayed in the Diamond Villa, which was a three bedroom villa that was big enough to entertain more than 100 people. My husband & I were discussing how we need to return with a group of friends and stay at the same villa. Overall, Cavo Tagoo was an incredible hotel and I will be sure to be back!

Where to eat and party in Mykonos?

While we spent the majority of our stay at Cavo Tagoo we did venture out of the hotel for a few meals.

Check out Kiki's Tavern at Agios Sostis Beach. Read more about it through a previous post (click here).

Check out Nammos Mykonos for lunch, swimming, tanning, and dancing on table tops. The food was delicious and I would recommend any of the sushi selections, as it was some of the freshest sushi I have ever eaten. If you're feeling like a highroller, you can actually ask for a glass (yes, I said glass not bottle) of Dom Perignon for a mere 110 Euros. Tip: Nammos doesn't take reservations for the lounge chairs so I suggest arriving before 11am but the party doesn't pick up until around 5pm.

Another must try and is a new hot spot called Scorpios. This is another beach club and to be seen spot and I would suggest making a reservation for dinner to watch the sunset fall. For the party, the best nights are Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Regarding Mykonos town, you can't go wrong choosing any of the great restaurants (e.g., Nice n Easy and Avra), as you stroll along the waterfront to people watch, shop, and party. While here, make sure to check out the windmills, as they are quite the sight!

Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions about Mykonos, as I would be more than happy to answer them for you.

As always, thanks for reading!

XOXO,

Christie
