Wearing Pink in Spring
Hi all,
I missed a day, in my attempt at providing you new, original content and outfits every 1-2 days, so I'm sorry for that! But onwards with the show: We've spoken in the past about pastels in Spring - shocking, I know... pastels in Spring - and I can't deny that I've been on a bit of a pink/pastel trip as of late with my outfits and selections. So today's outfit of the day naturally includes some pink, including a new pink bag. Let's dive right in:
Pink Is In For Spring
So usually, I add a purse or shoes to complement an outfit and "top it off" per se. This time though, I have just added this pink bag to my collection and wanted to wear it out so instead, I styled the entire look to go with the purse.
For starters, I thought this pink and white ruffle skirt would be perfect. I have a busy day of meetings during the day, and then fun events during the evening, so I thought it would be the right piece that can transition from day to night without needing to go home and change. Think of it as a great piece also for weekends in which you might be doing some shopping but then might head off straight to dinner or drinks.
But the temperature is not cooperating as it's still a bit cold out. So I knew a jacket was a must. Enter this beautiful - and super versatile - white denim jacket from Lilly Pulitzer. If you followed some of the photo shoot action this week, I've been wearing it non-stop. Plus, it's a great complement to the skirt and bag. The top is a simple white GAP sleeveless top that is one of those essentials we should all have in our closet.
Accessories
Of course one of the accessories here is the beautiful bag from Sage Aubrey. For the shoes, I decided on this amazing pair of the Janny collection from Schutz.
One of the events I'm attending tonight is a special Fossil dinner to celebrate the launch of their new #FossilFirsts campaign, so naturally, I wanted to add their latest hybrid smartwatch, which has that classic look, but also incorporates smartwatch elements such as notifications, step-counting among other features.
So tell me: how have you been wearing pink this Spring? Let me know in the comments below and, as always, thank you for reading!
xoxo,
Christie
