Valentine's Day with Express

As I write this, it's T-minus 2 weeks until Valentine's so if you haven't yet begun thinking of your outfit, it's time. With that end, I've partnered with Express to take a look at four of my favorite Valentine Day looks and give you guys a special discount to shop in store - let's dive right in:

What to Wear for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is a day for love, and to me, that means dressing up in an outfit that is a mix of sexy, fun and classy and one that makes me feel the most confident. It doesn't matter - or shouldn't, at least - if you're going out to a fancy restaurant, your go-to casual spot, or simply preparing something at the house. It also shouldn't matter if you're single - a night out with the girls in a good outfit can be JUST what the Dr. ordered.

There are usually three colors I levitate towards for Valentine's: Red (duh), pink and black. Today's four options include 2 reds and 2 blacks so let's take a look:

Lace Black Jumpsuit

Lace is a sexy fabric, and so a black jumpsuit with lace detailing is a great option for Valentine's. the crop at the bottom of these, in particular, invite a good stiletto for a night out. I styled it here with black booties and a hat.

Strapless Red Jumpsuit

Sticking with the idea of wearing a jumpsuit, but opting for red, instead of black for Valentine's. I'm loving this strapless red jumpsuit. If you're with someone, it's a hot look. If you're single, you definitely won't go unseen. Love the strapless nature, exposing the shoulders. If you're in the north, you'll need a coat, and I'd recommend a leather jacket to let it shine, since it's so loud (but fun!).

Front Slit Sheath Dress

Sticking with the color red, but perhaps you're looking for a dress instead. I love this beautiful red dress with a front slit. You can wear as is, or layer a black turtleneck underneath. It's a great, chic option that, once again, mixes a bit of sexiness with class. It's a simple dress - think of it as an LBD, but red - that works here and will work for many events and date nights in the future.

Deep V-Neck Dolman Maxi

Back to black now but still sticking with the dress idea. This black maxi dress is conservative in the sense that is the length is longer-ish and doesn't expose too much, but then obviously features a deep V. The color of the dress (black) also lets you choose: Style for the all-black look with black shoes and purse, or opt for a pop of color in the night. Again, similar to the above, this is a dress with many functions, so when you think of versatility, this dress has it.
