Hot Trend Alert: Bracelet Bags Spring 2018

Today we're beginning discussions on Spring trends and one such trend that you saw several times during the February edition of NYFW was the bracelet bag like the one you see me wearing in the pictures here. Don't worry, the belt bags are still very much in style, but don't sleep on this new bag trend.
What exactly IS a Bracelet Bag?
The name itself "bracelet bag" isn't even super defined as of now. A quick search of similar bags reveals some being called bucket bags, top handle bags or clutches. All of which are correct technically speaking, based on the design of the bag, right? But what sets these bracelet bags apart of course is how you wear them. Instead of holding them with your hand (even though you can), or off the shoulder or cross body, you wear them as a bracelet. It's a unique and new way to style and wear a bag.
Bracelet bags have the strap sewn and attached to the front and back of the bag, as opposed to side-to-side, which is more typical of top-handle and others. Yes, this makes it a bit tough to stuff a laptop inside, for example, but that's not their use anyway, right?
It may not be your work bag, but it's certainly a fun new addition for your night out, date night, vacation or brunch with the girls. However, if you are a fan of the design itself, but want a bigger bag to wear, some designers have essentially put together a fun bucket bag that fits much more inside but still have the handle sewn as the bracelet bags. How they fit on your arm, in particular once weight is added to the bag, I haven't yet tested, however.
