NYFW Day 2 - Snakeskin Suit

Excited to bring you details of another NYFW outfit and today we’re talking about the snakeskin suit that was very well received on Instagram! This has to be one of my favorites outfits because I had been on the lookout for it for some time and couldn’t believe when I finally was able to put t together. So let’s talk snakeskin suit, the print itself and how it portrays us, and then we’ll go shopping as well! Today’s look was worn on Friday of NYFW and we attended the Cinq a Sept presentation and a WWD party!

Snakeskin Suit

I had seen this suit some months ago when I visited a collection preview for J Brand and had been after it ever since. So when J Brand asked if I wanted to wear it during NYFW, of course I jumped at the opportunity! You see, the print of the suit is very similar to that of my boots that you’ve seen over and over again (sorry, not sorry! I love them!) So I knew it would be fun to style them together!

But you know I love me some color, right? So I wanted that pop and I brought it in by wearing a fun, right orange turtleneck underneath. To finalize the look, I was able to secure this gorgeous bag courtesy of Vestiare Collective.

The Psychology Behind Snakeskin

Snakeskin and animal print in general can do several things. Some reseach has shown those that wear animal print to seem more attractive, though jury is still somewhat out on that one. But it can also make you feel more confident, so putting these two items together means animal print and snakeskin might be a great option to consider for a date!
